Porter Moser
(Rental)-Building a Postseason Culture in Your Basketball Program
$18.99
Building a Postseason Culture in Your Program
Loyola-Chicago head coach Porter Moser won the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament championships in 2018 and took his mid-major program all the way to the Final Four. Moser believes it was all possible because of the program’s culture. In this video, Coach Moser explores the foundations of the culture he established at Loyola as well as some of the drills that reflect that culture and some of the principles Moser uses to attack zone defenses.
Promoting a Good Culture
Coach Moser came up through the coaching ranks by spending a lot of time with the legendary Rick Majerus. Moser revisits many of the concepts, strategies, and ideas her learned while working with Majerus. These culture-building ideas include:
Coaches and players must always be invested in learning.
Relationships are a key in building a positive culture.
Use simple phrases that resonate with players.
Players must be able to articulate how to do something. If they cannot, they probably can’t do it.
A coach must get everyone to believe in what he is selling.
Embrace the little things.
Drills & Strategies
Coach Moser then gets into some of the drills that he uses. “Close to the Body” is a defensive drill that helps defenders locate their man after they are screened or encounter some other offensive action. “Throw and Go” doubles as a shooting drill and as one that covers one of the core offensive concepts Moser teaches to beat zone defenses.
The final segment of the video is where Coach Moser shows you how he attacks zone defenses. What you will see is not just a simple play or even an entire offense that attacks zones, but Coach Moser shares with you a series of big-picture ideas and concepts that will help you and your players against any zone defense and its adjustments.
Moser finishes with the some “food for thought” concepts that can make a difference in close games. Some ideas are actual on-court actions where others are simply thoughts about a program and how to help motivate athletes.
Coach Moser’s video tackles one of the most important ideas in coaching – how to create a positive, winning culture. Any coach can develop a great offense or a stingy defense, but not every coach can build a consistent winner. Coach Moser shows you how to build the foundation for a strong culture and a winning tradition.
Lyndsey Fennelly
(Rental)-Building A Quality Shooting Workout
$15.99
Building a Quality Shooting Workout
Former Iowa State University point guard Lyndsey Fennelly helps you build a complete quality shooting workout. Fennelly was an All-American in 2007 and a second-round draft pick of the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. Now, a well-known skills trainer, Coach Fennelly gives you the keys to building a dynamic and challenging shooting workout.
Fennelly starts with ball-handling and passing. During the warm-up, players learn to work at three different levels. Players work on dribbling and passing while stationary, while moving, and using one hand only.
Players are taught four different types of passes and a variety of ball-handling techniques. The session focuses on 10 different ball-handling skills. These include the pound dribble, alternating dribble and more. She also adds the teaching of a number of different one-handed passes like the push, rugby, and behind the back.
After working ball-handling and passing, Coach Fennelly continues the presentation with six different shooting drills. She breaks down each drill and explains how to train beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. This allows players to progress through each level as their skill improves. From simple warmup shooting drills to full-court exercises that push players to their limits, Coach Fennelly tests and challenges players to train how they want to play. All the drills can be done with or without a partner.
Any player look to train at the top level of competition or any coach that wants to take his players to the next level should own this video. Coach Fennelly demonstrates a number of excellent drills that can build better shooters.
Brian Wardle
(Rental)-Building A Rebounding & Defensive Mindset
$17.99
Building a Rebounding and Defensive Mindset
In order to build a defensive mindset, teams have to practice it. Bradley head coach Brian Wardle, who led the Braves to the 2019 Missouri Valley Tournament Conference tournament championship, does just that. He also builds a tough rebounding mindset and shows you how he does it in this video. Each day in practice, Coach Wardle stresses three things: transition defense, individual and team defense, and rebounding. You will see exactly how he accomplishes his goals with the variety of drills that he uses.
5-on-0 Transition
Coach Wardle uses the 5-on-0 transition drill with a focus on rebounding and defense. Players crash the boards on offense and also have players that begin to transition and become safeties to prevent easy baskets. Players must immediately think about their block out responsibilities too. This creates and builds that defensive/rebounding mentality.
1-on-1 Play to Build a Defensive Mindset
The defensive mindset is built starting with the standard 1-on-1 play. Teams play to a certain number of points, but points are awarded based upon the number of stops a team makes. You win by keeping your opponent in front of you. The drill progresses to 2-on-2 and the same point system is in play.
One of the unique things Wardle does is have his assistants track the number of “blow bys” each practice. Wardle then knows which players are getting beat consistently and which players are making stops. This helps in deciding playing time.
Numbered Rebounding and Rebound League
All of Coach Wardle’s drills are made to be as game-like as possible. Numbers Rebounding is a great drill that forces players to act quickly and block out their opponent. Coach Wardle reviews the keys to blocking out and identifies a “hit or be hit” mentality when rebounding. If you want to be a successful rebounding team, your players are going to have to be physical.
Rebounding League is another of Coach Wardle’s favorite drills to build team defense. The drill teaches individual defensive concepts and emphasizes the importance of rebounding. Most of Coach Wardle’s drills are built into Rebounding League and players fight to earn the weekly rebounding title.
Coach Wardle’s drills will bring out the rebounder in your players. The ability to develop a defensive and rebounding mindset will help your team become the force that it should be and a team that opponents will not want to play. Rent this defensive mindset DVD today.

All-In-One “Complete Player” Workout
Lyndsey Fennelly was a 2007 All-American point guard at Iowa State University and a second-round draft choice of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever. Fennelly went on to become the course director of Point Guard College and in this video demonstrates the All In One workout. The workout, which works a variety of different skills, was one of the reasons why Fennelly was so successful as a player.
Shooting
The workout was designed to develop the complete player. It can be done individually or with other players. The workout focuses on areas that make players more dangerous. These include working on shooting the 3-pointer, attacking the basket, finishing around the rim, and finishing with the back to the basket.
Ball Handling
Fennelly begins the workout with a series of one-ball ball-handling drills. Players move up and down the floor in an attempt to get loose and work up a sweat in preparation for the core of the workout. Starting with ball-handling drills also helps players build the confidence needed to put the ball on the floor and attack defenses.
Creative Finishing
In the second part of the workout, Fennelly encourages players to think outside the box when finishing. Players work on creative finishes and put them to the test. Fennelly demonstrates six atypical finishes around the rim. The idea is for players to learn not just to take shots but to learn to make shots.
To become a complete player, one must be able to shoot. It doesn’t matter if it is long-range 3-pointers or mid-range jumpers. Players have to be able to hit shots. Fennelly demonstrates the one-dribble pull ups where players learn to catch and shoot and use shots fakes to create open shots. Players learn to consistently create and knock down shots from anywhere on the floor.
The All In One workout is a dynamic skill development workout. Coaches can use the instruction in this video to build a complete, unstoppable player that is confident in his or her abilities. Rent this Complete Player workout DVD today.
