(Rental)-Bill Self Open Practice: High Post Screening Offense
$19.99
Bill Self High Post Screen Offense
There are few teams as skilled at running a complex ball screen offense as Kansas. In this video, you will learn from the great Bill Self, head coach of the Jayhawks, who uses a free-flowing, organized system of offense to continually rise to the top of the NCAA rankings year after year. Self has led Kansas to 14 straight Big 12 regular season titles. His Jayhawks won the 2008 national title and were the runners-up in 2012. All 16 of Self’s Kansas teams have made it to the NCAA tournament. Including stops at Tulsa (1997-2000) and Illinois (2000-03), Self has taken 21 straight teams to the NCAA tourney. In this video, Self details his offense using whiteboard diagrams and practice demonstrations.
Coach Self outlines the basics of the High Post Screen offense which begins with the primary fast break and leads into secondary transition. That leads to multiple scenarios all beginning with the same set up. On the practice floor, Self shows you his basic rules that each player must follow in order to keep the offense moving. He then reviews the two-game entry which maximizes the high-and low-post options within the Kansas offense.
High Post Screen Offense - Transition
Self concludes his discussion of the Kansas offense by demonstrating his transition offense as well as all of the scoring possibilities in the half-court offense. In addition to the primary fast break, Coach Self breaks down Kansas’s secondary break using whiteboard diagrams. He also shows you two baseline out-of-bounds plays that can be used against man or zone defenses to get an easy layup.
This 108-minute video is perfect for those looking to install the Kansas High Post Screen offense. The practice demonstrations include eight players new to the Jayhawks program so you see firsthand how players are able to pick up the system quickly. This is an excellent video for those looking to add these strategies into their current offense. Rent this High Post Screen Offense DVD today.

Steve Forbes
(Rental)-High Low Motion Offense Sets
$18.99
High Low Motion Offense Sets with Special Situations
Steve Forbes, current head coach at East Tennessee State, has built his basketball knowledge serving as an assistant for some of the game’s top coaches including Bruce Pearl, Gregg Marshall, and Billy Gillispie. All three were former Coaches of the Year who trained Forbes. In three-plus seasons at ETSU, Forbes is 91-33 and has three 20-win seasons and an NCAA bid.
Forbes has molded together an offense that relies heavily on motion and big men with perimeter skills. In this video, you will see how he has taken the “Two Game” scheme and simplified it into a system that stresses misdirection on the perimeter to take advantage of defenses. Forbes shares the basics of his offense as well as some of his quick hitters and how he deals with special situations.
Basics of the High Low Motion Offense
With a philosophy of less is more, Coach Forbes’ system utilizes only a handful of motions, movements, and sets. Learning these allows players the freedom to move and react based on how a defense is playing. The offense is continuous by nature and Forbes teaches players to be quick and precise and flow from one set to another seamlessly. Known as “Two Game,” the High/Low Motion offense is great for teams that are not blessed with great size as the offense relies more on spacing and movement.
Forbes shows you his basic box alignment that goes into a 1-4 high set that has four different entries for the point guard. The offense can be run from either side of the floor with the various entry points available. One option is to get the ball to either wing. The point then cuts to either corner with the posts getting to their spots on the floor. This entry is designed to work the defense from inside out reversing the basketball or getting an open 3-pointer.
Forbes also shows you the high post entry from a 1-4 alignment. With this option, there is the backdoor for the ball-side wing, a fade screen for the point guard, as well as a double down screen. The dribble option is also reviewed complete with zipper cut, middle ball screen, and the “Z action.”
Quick Hitters & Special Situations for the High Low Motion Offense
Forbes also presents a collection of his best quick hitters gathered from all of his coaching stops. Taking something from each coach he has learned from, Forbes gives you some quick hitting options that will make you look like an offensive genius.
He gives you a sidelines out of bounds play that he likes near the end of a half or game. He will also share some quick hitters that offer both an inside and outside option to leave defenses dumbfounded when they game plan.
Coach Forbes also includes his thoughts regarding end of game situations. Every season, a coach is going to face a situation where a near miracle is needed to win a game. Forbes reviews a number of these situations so that you are aware of most any late-game situation. This video is chock full of offense and the perfect addition to any coach’s library. JoAnne Boyle
(Rental)-High-low Continuity Offense
$15.99
Joanne Boyle: HighLow Continuity Offense
Former Cal and Virginia head women’s basketball coach Joanne Boyle shows you how she rejuvenated both programs with her high/low continuity offense. Boyle, who also served a short stint as the head coach at Richmond, won over 300 games before retiring in 2018. She turned around a struggling Cal program taking the Bears to four straight NCAA tournaments and the 2009 Sweet Sixteen. In her seven seasons at Virginia, Boyle went 129-99 taking her final team (2017-18) to the NCAA tournament.
In this video, Coach Boyle breaks down the entire offense and gives you the drills needed to support each part. There are six major pieces of the offense and Boyle teaches and demonstrates each in detail. The continuity offense features a number of options and Boyle reviews each including strong side, away action, post series, ball screens, dribble hand offs, and early high post screens.
High Low Continuity Offense Shooting Drills
Boyle then offers up four shooting drills to accompany each of the options in the offense. The drills help to make practice sessions more game-like and better prepare players for live game action. Coach Boyle uses both on-court demonstrations as well as game film to illustrate just how the offense is supposed to work.
In Boyle’s High Low Continuity offense, players must have the ability to play multiple positions. Players must be versatile, which helps when substituting during games. It also helps when teams don’t have a lot of size as plays can fit into any one of the five spots on the floor.
Coach Boyle also shows you how merge the offense with the fast break making it even harder to defend. The ability to execute quick scoring options before a defense has a chance to set up gives the offense a huge advantage. Every entry pass starts a new facet of Boyle’s offense applying constant pressure to a defense that will ultimately yield.
The offense is easy to teach and can be used at any level. Learn it from a true pioneer of the continuity offense in this 65-minute video. Rent this High Low Continuity Offense DVD today.

Bruce Pearl
(Rental)-High Screen Options & Ob Nuggets
$15.99
Bruce Pearl's late-game and clock situations are huge opportunities for his team. Pearl's initial offense is described in detail. This attack is based on optimizing each player's abilities at different areas of the floor. The read & react full-court offense makes use of all defensive decisions. The ball screen calls are two reliable options for this offense. A high screen and roll is the first play, which creates an inside seal opportunity for post players. The high screen and pop is another play. This spreads the floor out 1 in. It can also flow into continuity offense. Five unique set plays are unleashed by Pearl starting at the baseline. This OB series will result in a lob lay up, switch seal and hi/low seal. It also has a high/low backscreen and post pin. Five variations can be created by the box set alignment, all of which could lead to baskets. The pin down screen removes the guard from the top of the floor. There are three options: slip screens, down screens, and penetration.

Ben Braun
(Rental)-Two Guard High Post Offense
$15.99
Braun believes in motion offense, which involves constant player and ball movement. He also advocates proper spacing. This offensive philosophy places a high value on passing, especially to the open shooter. To give the shooter the best shot, the ball must be delivered to the correct spot. Braun shows the 3-man, 2-ball shooting/passing drill to help with this skill. Braun also demonstrates other concepts such as getting open on the wings, lobbing the ball above the defender to overcome their position, the inside, reverse pivot, and the backcut and post up just below the mid-post. Braun's two-guard approach teaches the "X" and shallow cut moves to create space and open up. To get open, the high post player can also be useful. Braun allows players to "just be" by gradually adding players to the court. These skills can be used by any player to run an offense, and they will all be successful.
