Coach details what makes the ball screen offense work including how and where to set the ball screen and the screen and roll versus the screen and go. Players are taught to read defenses as the ball handler comes off of a screen. Coach Showalter emphasizes the correct reads for the various looks the offense might see. These include defenses that: Go behind the screen Hedge on the screen Double on the screen Switch the screen Show early on the screen In addition to the base offense, Coach Showalter provides you with a number of variations that will help you take advantage of defenses. These include the Pop Series, Horns, 21, and the Shuffle Cut. All of these are demonstrated in on-court action. The final segment of the video features how Showalter’s offense can operate against a zone defense. The basic continuity offense remains the same, but players must learn different reads as they change when facing a zone defense. You will get an added bonus as Showalter talks about how to get players to play hard all the time. Coach Showalter gets into his four “C’s” (Choices, Comfort Zone, Compete, and Communication) as well as the top 10 mistakes that high school coaches make. Continuity Offense From The Inside Out (aanonsen) by Aaron Aanonsen Instructional Basketball Coaching Video
Aaron Aanonsen (Rental)-Continuity Offense From The Inside Out (aanonsen) $15.99
Continuity Offense from the Inside Out Aaron Aanonsen has led Lakeland College in becoming one of the most prolific scoring offenses in NCAA Division III. Lakeland was seventh in the nation in 2011-12 averaging 88.5 points per game. Coach Aanonsen shows you his 3-out, 2-in Continuity Motion Offense that uses multiple screens to create mismatches inside and out. You will see three entries for the offense: a wing entry, post entry, and a 4-high entry. All allow your players to start the offense by reading the actions of the defense. Incorporating curls, back screens, and hand-offs within the entries helps to weaken wing pressure and allows the offense to control the flow of the game. Each entry into the offense flows easily into the motion offense. To take advantage of defenses that cheat or switch, Coach Aanonsen teaches you Point Check, Post Check, Strong, Stay, and Cutting Game. Each is a counter that easily alters the predictability of the basic continuity offense. Coach Aanonsen also adds five quick hitters to get different players open looks at the basket. Each play returns easily to the motion offense.  The final part of the offense is then introduced by Coach Aanonsen. He details the 4-low inbounds series that includes eight plays. This allows the offense to adjust with quick variations that don’t force you to vary the starting point. One of the great things about this offense is that it can build confidence. Players know where their shots will come from allowing them to repeatedly practice those shots. That’s where the confidence comes from. This offense is great for a coach that wants some structure and control. It’s also great because it’s not as predictable as an offense that runs 100 percent set plays. It’s an offense that can be used at the high school or even middle school level. It will reduce turnovers and produce high percentage shots.
Continuity On Ball Screening Offense with High Low ActionOffense by Jaime White Instructional Basketball Coaching Video
Jaime White (Rental)-Continuity On Ball Screening Offense with High Low ActionOffense $18.99
Continuity On-Ball Screen Offense with High-Low Action The ball screen is one of the most used actions at all levels of basketball. It is extremely difficult to defend and defenses have responded with numerous adjustments. In this video, Fresno State women’s head coach Jaime White gives an in-depth look at her continuity on-ball screening offense. Take a look inside the offense that has produce four winning seasons at Fresno State and, before that, the most wins in Northern Colorado women’s basketball history. Twist & Double Coach White starts the presentation on the whiteboard explaining the details of the offense. She reviews how to set it up, spacing, and the basic movements. She also describes the purpose and philosophy of the offense and why it can be successful for any coach. The presentation then goes into the two on-ball screening actions: Twist and Double. Coach White explains each on the whiteboard first before moving onto the court. Twist is a single on-ball screen on the wing on either side of the floor. Double is a double on-ball screen for the wing which then flows right into the continuity of the offense. Moving to the floor, Coach White goes over each action as well as the counters and change ups, such as Quick and Pop. One of the primary focuses of the offense is to use the post players. Each action ends in some sort of high-low opportunity. Coach White then discusses what makes a good post-up opportunity and how to exploit defenses that front, switch, or three-quarter to the post player. Counters & Film Defenses try to take away the initial entry pass to take away certain actions in an offense. Coach White reveals her experience with the offense by reviewing every counter and defensive adjustment you could see. You’ll see a middle pick-and-roll against teams that want to pressure the point guard. For teams that “ice” the Twist action, Coach White calls Corner which takes advantage of defensive positioning. Coach White then brings it all together with a review of actual game footage. You will see the continuity offense in action. This is one of the most comprehensive presentations of a continuity ball screen offense you will see. Coach White shares an offense that any coach at any level can take and use to be successful. Continuity Zone Offense & Concepts To Beat Any Zone Defense by Don Kelbick Instructional Basketball Coaching Video
Don Kelbick (Rental)-Continuity Zone Offense & Concepts To Beat Any Zone Defense $17.99
Unleashing the Power of the Kelbick Zone Offense: A Tactical Guide Introduction Welcome to our comprehensive guide on the Kelbick Zone Offense, a strategic approach that will revolutionize your basketball game. In this article, we will explore the intricacies of the Kelbick Zone Offense, providing you with expert insights, advanced techniques, and detailed breakdowns to help you outperform your opponents on the court. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer to basketball, this guide is your key to unlocking offensive excellence. Understanding the Kelbick Zone Offense The Kelbick Zone Offense, developed by renowned basketball coach Coach Kelbick, is a highly effective offensive strategy designed to exploit and dismantle zone defenses. This tactical approach emphasizes ball movement, player spacing, and strategic positioning to create scoring opportunities and break down even the most resilient zone defenses. Key Principles of the Kelbick Zone Offense 1. Ball Movement and Player Spacing One of the fundamental principles of the Kelbick Zone Offense is the emphasis on ball movement and player spacing. By constantly moving the ball from one side of the court to the other and maintaining proper spacing between players, you create openings in the zone defense, forcing defenders to make difficult decisions and openings for your team to exploit. 2. High-Percentage Shots The Kelbick Zone Offense aims to generate high-percentage shots by taking advantage of defensive gaps and mismatches. By executing precise passes, utilizing dribble penetration, and making intelligent cuts to the basket, you can create scoring opportunities near the rim or open up perimeter shots. This focus on high-percentage shots increases your team's efficiency and maximizes scoring potential. 3. Reading and Reacting to the Defense A key aspect of the Kelbick Zone Offense is the ability to read and react to the defense. Instead of relying on set plays, this offensive strategy encourages players to make quick decisions based on the movements and positioning of the defenders. By developing strong basketball IQ, recognizing defensive rotations, and exploiting weak spots in the zone, you can keep the defense off balance and consistently find open scoring opportunities. Implementing the Kelbick Zone Offense To successfully implement the Kelbick Zone Offense, you need to focus on key strategies and techniques. Let's explore some of the essential elements that will enhance your offensive prowess: 1. Establishing Proper Alignment Proper alignment is crucial in the Kelbick Zone Offense. Players should be positioned strategically to create passing angles and exploit defensive gaps. This includes having players in the high post, low post, and along the perimeter to stretch the defense and create multiple scoring options. 2. Utilizing the Flash Post The flash post is a fundamental movement in the Kelbick Zone Offense. It involves the player positioned in the high post quickly cutting towards the basket, creating a scoring opportunity near the rim or drawing defensive attention, which opens up passing lanes for teammates. The flash post requires precise timing, coordination, and the ability to read the defense effectively. 3. Screening and Cutting Screening and cutting play a vital role in the Kelbick Zone Offense. By setting screens on defenders, you create confusion in the defense and open up opportunities for your teammates. Simultaneously, players without the ball should constantly be moving, making cuts to the basket or relocating to open areas, forcing defenders to make difficult choices and creating scoring chances. The Benefits of the Kelbick Zone Offense Mastering the Kelbick Zone Offense  offers a myriad of benefits that can elevate your team's offensive capabilities and lead to victory on the court. Here are some key advantages of implementing the Kelbick Zone Offense: 1. Breaking Down Zone Defenses The Kelbick Zone Offense is specifically designed to exploit and dismantle zone defenses. By employing proper ball movement, player spacing, and strategic positioning, you can create openings in the defense and force defenders to make difficult choices. This offensive strategy puts constant pressure on the zone defense, leading to breakdowns, mismatches, and scoring opportunities. 2. Increased Scoring Efficiency One of the primary objectives of the Kelbick Zone Offense is to generate high-percentage shots. Through intelligent movement, precise passing, and smart decision-making, you can create scoring opportunities near the basket or open perimeter shots. By focusing on high-percentage shots, your team's overall scoring efficiency will improve, leading to higher point production and a greater chance of success. 3. Improved Offensive Flow The Kelbick Zone Offense promotes continuous ball movement and player involvement. With its emphasis on reading and reacting to the defense, this offensive strategy encourages players to make quick decisions based on the movements of defenders. This fluid style of play keeps the defense on their toes, disrupts their rotations, and creates a cohesive offensive flow that can lead to seamless scoring opportunities. 4. Enhanced Player Development Implementing the Kelbick Zone Offense allows players to develop various skills that are crucial to their overall basketball growth. The emphasis on reading the defense, making intelligent cuts, and executing precise passes enhances players' basketball IQ and decision-making abilities. Additionally, the offensive principles of the Kelbick Zone Offense promote teamwork, communication, and awareness on the court, fostering a positive team dynamic and individual player development. 5. Strategic Flexibility The Kelbick Zone Offense provides strategic flexibility, allowing teams to adapt to different defensive schemes and make in-game adjustments. By reading the defense and exploiting its weaknesses, you can modify your offensive approach to counter specific zone formations and defensive strategies. This adaptability gives your team a competitive advantage, as you can respond effectively to changing game situations and exploit defensive vulnerabilities. Conclusion The Kelbick Zone Offense is a game-changing strategy that can take your team's offensive performance to new heights. By implementing the key principles, techniques, and strategies outlined in this guide, you will have the tools to outperform opponents and unlock the full potential of your offensive capabilities. Remember, mastering the Kelbick Zone Offense requires practice, teamwork, and a commitment to constant improvement. Cheryl Reeve (Rental)-Corner Offense, Set Plays, & Practice Drills $17.99
Cheryl Reeve: Corner Offense, Set Plays and Practice Drills Cheryl Reeve helped build the Minnesota Lynx franchise into one that has dominated the WNBA. Reeve has guided the Lynx to four WNBA championships and has twice won the league’s Coach of the Year award. A big part of her success comes from the drills you will see in this video. Not only do the drills help in player development, they also help to establish a certain culture, one that has helped the Lynx win. Practice Drills You will see Coach Reeve’s version of the classic layup drill and other full-court drills that help prepare players for her up-tempo style of play. These drills emphasize conditioning, competition, and efficiency. Players work on changing direction and attacking the basket off the dribble. Other drills include: Three-Man Weave: Works on spreading the floor and firing the ball ahead in transition while eliminating bad passes and missed layups. Secondary Drill: Learn to use ball screens in the secondary break and how to teach them to your players. Speed Drill: Work on quick outlet passes and advance passes to players running the floor in a continuous fast break drill. Corner Offense An alternative to the Triangle offense, the Corner offense is great for teams with good shooters, big guards that can post up, or teams that don’t have a dominant post player. Proper spacing spreads the floor for cuts to the basket and post up opportunities by guards. Coach Reeve breaks down the multiple options in her Corner offense, showing you how ball movement helps to open up scoring opportunities. Split screens, flare screens, and dribble handoffs are all used to create 3-point attempts or easy layups. You will also see how Coach Reeve counters certain defenses by using back door cuts, corner passes, and ball reversals to get two-man actions on the weak side. No matter what a defense throws at you, the Corner offense has an answer. Set Plays Coach Reeve demonstrates some set plays that she has used with great success. There are three plays out of the Corner alignment, two variations using spread ball screens, and an end-of-game play for a 3-point shot. The plays include: Cheek: This is a great play that uses a back screen to post up on a smaller guard or get an open 3-pointer. Thumbs Up: Using misdirection with a screen the screener action on the perimeter, this play can result in either a layup or 3-point shot. Punch: This is a great play to involve the weak side of the Corner offense and get an open look for your best shooter coming off a screen. This is a wonderful look at an offensive philosophy that has been used with great success at the game’s highest levels. It is simple enough that coaches at levels can benefit from the drills and plays taught in this presentation.

Creating An Efficient Perimeter Player by Mike Hopkins Instructional Basketball Coaching Video
Mike Hopkins (Rental)-Creating An Efficient Perimeter Player $17.99
Creating an Efficient Perimeter Player Syracuse basketball has produced a number of outstanding perimeter players. University of Washington head coach Mike Hopkins is one of the reasons why. Hopkins, a 20-year-plus assistant to Jim Boeheim at Syracuse, is a master of perimeter basketball play. In this video, Coach Hopkins shares all aspects of perimeter development including increasing speed, improving shooting, and becoming mentally tougher. Hopkins became the head coach at Washington in 2017 and went 21-13 in his first season. His Huskies won the Pac-12 regular season title in 2018 and Hopkins was named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year. He has had a long and successful career in developing perimeter players and he shares his views and insights in this presentation. Winning the Baseline Drive Coach Hopkins uses a series of drills to work on the line and angle to the basket when driving to the key. Here, Coach Hopkins teaches players not to fight the defender but to use balance and quickness. The placement of the feet is crucial in beating the defender to the basket. Players also learn to expect and absorb contact while maintaining a strong base. Hopkins prefers the offensive player initiate the contact which helps to improve angles and increase shot percentages. Coach Hopkins also teaches players how to deal with second defenders who will no doubt come into play as the first defender is beaten. Change of Direction Moves To teach players to dribble low enough (something they rarely do), Coach Hopkins shows you the Dribble Touch drill series where players must stay low after making a change of direction move. Hopkins also shows you how to deal with defenders that crowd the basketball. He teaches a head-shoulder-leg technique that initiates contact with a defender without drawing a foul. The Walk Up Drill is another in which players learn to separate from defenders and get open on the perimeter. Dribbling posture is important to Coach Hopkins and he talks about how players are to react when facing defensive pressure on the ball. Hopkins emphasizes drills that work on creating space for the ball handler. Shooting Endurance Players must be in great shape to be able to shoot when they are tired. Spurs 100 is an outstanding shooting drill that Coach Hopkins uses at the end of his practices. The drill is a conditioner but also can be modified so that players are taking the same shots they would in a game situation. Coach Hopkins video will give you a greater appreciation of the skills and fundamentals needed to be a successful perimeter player. With years of experience in developing some of the best in college basketball, Coach Hopkins gives you all of the tools you will need to do the same in your program.
