Scott Adubato
(Rental)-Pick, Pop And Roll Offense
$15.99
Coach Adubato says pick, pop, and roll can be a threat to defenses as it forces them into making decisions and creates mismatches on court. This style can often get opponents into trouble, and it can force rotations and scrambling from the defense. Pick and roll can be done anywhere on the floor: at the top, side, corner and elbow as well as in transition. Adubato explains how to attack each area on the floor. To get to screen level, Adubato will show you the Z effect and controlled back down. There are many options available for the dribbler at each screen. If you incorporate the drills into your team's practices, they will improve your pick and roll game. The transition pick-and-roll game is a great way to get the defense under pressure and can be used as an offensive tool. Great teaching tool by a great teacher!

Nick Nurse
(Rental)-Nick Nurse: The Spread Offense for Basketball
$18.99
Nick Nurse guided the Toronto Raptors to the 2019 NBA title and earned the 2020 NBA Coach of the Year. Much of his team’s successes are based on his offensive philosophy which is on display in this video. With offensive concepts from the NBA filtering down to the high school level, Nurse makes these concepts easy to understand so you can utilize them at your level.
Offensive Overview
Nurse’s version of the 4-Out, 1-In offense is a little different than the traditional set. The idea is designed to spread the floor to create opportunities to drive to the basket. Perimeter shooters set up around the three-point line and a fifth player is in the “dunker spot.”
The idea is simply to create space and attack the paint. He discusses this in-depth as well as pointing out how points per possession increase when the ball gets into the lane.
Attack Phase
Regardless of how the ball is obtained, one of the keys for Nurse’s offense is attacking in transition. The point guard pushes the ball up the floor while the wings run to the corners. You will also see how Nurse attacks the paint using Pitch with a trailer. The point guard works a handoff with the trailer who looks to go to the rim.
Nurse also shows you how to use the “Dunker.” The first post down the floor runs to the rim looking for the easy layup. If he doesn’t get the layup, he fills one of two spots on the floor looking for a dump off pass.
Pick & Roll and Counters
Like most NBA teams, the Raptors and Nurse use the pick and roll as part of their offense. Nurse likes to use Swing, Drag, and Double Drag in transition to generate drives to the basket. There are also counters that Nurse teaches. One is Pindown where the trailer has gotten too far ahead of the point guard. The wing opposite the ball receives a pindown screen. The cutter can either get a catch-and-shoot three-pointer or curl into the paint.
Coach Nurse’s presentation makes what appears to be a complex NBA offensive system and makes it understandable and usable for any coach at any level.
Nick Nurse
(Rental)-Nick Nurse Shoot Like a Pro
$18.99
Nick Nurse has won at every level he has coached, including leading the Toronto Raptors to an NBA championship in 2019. One of the reasons for Coach Nurse’s success has been his ability to develop shooters. In this video, Nurse shares and discusses how he crafts quality shooters.
Shooting Factors
To begin, Coach Nurse talks about getting the shot lined up. The middle of the ball is always lined up with the middle of the basket. The Toronto practice facility actually has lines on the court to illustrate getting a shot lined up.
The second factor in shooting is arc. Too much arc will cause the ball not to travel far enough. Too little arc results is a shot being more likely to miss. Developing good form and mechanics can help get the correct arc on the ball.
The final factor is depth or the distance the ball must travel. Nurse uses drills to develop a player’s shooting range.
Perfect Shooting Drills
To learn proper shooting mechanics, Nurse uses two main drills: Perfect Form and Perfects. In Perfect Form, players work on their form using a cadence. “Perfects” is a drill with a target on the rim. The objective is to get all net. Nurse expands Perfects with Backup Game where players take a step back from the last spot where they made a shot.
3-Point Shooting
To help players extend their shooting range, Nurse uses a drill called Deep Threes. The concept is similar to adding weight to a bar. Players shoot from progressively deeper spots behind the three-point arc.
Another drill is Five Spot Shooting which allows players to compete against themselves. This video by one of the NBA’s best is an outstanding look at how to develop the complete shooter.
Chris Mack

Pack Line Defense: Points of Emphasis and Coverage Tactics
Louisville head coach Chris Mack discusses the impact of the Pack Line defense on his teams and why they have consistently been among the top 20 in the country in many defensive statistical categories. You will see how the Pack Line works and how you can implement it into your program.
Transition
The defense starts by trying to make opponents play half-court offense on every trip up the floor. Mack explains the role of every player in transition and how players must rotate to cover open players. Coach Mack goes into great detail on this and then shows the 4-on-3 Plus 1 Drill that teaches these concepts to your players.
Pack Line
Coach Mack outlines how the Pack Line defense works. Communication is a big key as it is in any defense you play. Mack shows you how he approaches off-ball gap defense where he crowds the floor to impact an opponent’s spacing on offense. Three different closeouts are shown and you will also see how Mack teaches a technique for taking away rhythm three-pointers.
Post defense is next. You’ll see how Mack prefers his players to defend the post and how they work to prevent duck-ins. He also shares ideas on off-ball screens, ball screens, and rebounding.
Drills
Coach Mack then shares some of his best drills for teaching the Pack Line defense. These include 4-on-3 Plus 1, Baseline Touch, 1-vs-3, Three Around One Identity, and 3-on-3 Identity.
This video from Coach Mack is one of the most comprehensive Pack Line presentations available. Use it to teach it to your team and watch your program prosper.
Mike White
(Rental)-Off Ball Screening Man to Man Motion Offense
$18.99
Off-Ball Screening Man-to-Man Motion Offense
Mike White built a winner at Louisiana Tech before coming to Florida where the Gators are one of the SEC elites. White continues his strong tradition of success with his man-to-man offense. In this video, you will see White’s ideas about transition offense and how to go faster. He also shares transition and half-court drills to help you establish a quick-hitting offense.
Transition Offense & Drills
Coach White starts by covering the roles of each player in the transition offense. He goes over things like the best area to outlet when starting the break, perimeter players running to corners, and more. White then goes into several drills that teach your team how to play fast and aggressive.
You will see how to add more difficulty to the three-man weave as well as a couple variations of a transition shooting drill. Full-Court Threes 180 and 140 get the whole team running and working on jump shots, layups, and three-pointers. The Mincy Drill has players score off of different actions within the transition offense and a continuous disadvantage drill helps players learn to read and attack a defense in transition.
Half-Court Man-to-Man Offense
White then shifts to his half-court offense where he shares some of his favorite fundamental drills. Passing, pivoting, and shot preparation are all covered in the fundamental drills. Then, Coach White goes into what makes up his 4-out, 1-in man-to-man offense. It starts with a 3-on-0 segment and builds up to 4-on-0 and 5-on-0. Players go through the different screens and cuts before adding five defenders.
No matter what style of offense you run, there is something in this video for you. As the game moves to a more “position-less” offense, you will find a number of concepts from Coach White that you can incorporate into your program.

Open Practice with Vermont’s John Becker: Offense & Defense Practice Drills & Techniques
The University of Vermont has been the premier team in the America East Conference for most of the last half-decade. The Catamounts success is largely due to head coach John Becker, a five-time Conference Coach of the Year with a 226-94 record at the school. Becker’s teams have won 20-plus games in each of his nine seasons. They have won four regular-season conference titles and have earned four trips to the NCAA tournament. In this video, Coach Becker gives you an inside look at one of his team’s practices.
Skill Work & Offensive Elements
Becker believes in taking some practice time each day to improve your players’ skills. Watch as the team warms up with ball-handling and full-court drills that work on passing and shooting. Coach Becker describes free throw shooting drills and “50 in 5 Shooting” which is a great way to get plenty of reps shooting the ball. You’ll also see how offensive actions are connected to player development through positional breakdowns. Players work on drills that improve their drive and kick game and their ability to read ball screens.
The practice then moves on to three drills that help put in the offense. “5-on-0” is used to work on the pace of the offense and teaches players how to flow through it. The “4-on-4 Offensive Breakdown” focuses on teaching specific actions within your offense. Becker ends with a live scrimmage that challenges players to use what they have worked on in practice.
Defense
Defense is crucial to Coach Becker’s program. You will see eight different drills that break down the Catamounts man-to-man defense. “Transition 4-on-5” forces defenders to recover with urgency and work together to survive disadvantaged situations. Coach Becker also goes in-depth on how to hard hedge against different offensive tactics and alignment. A 3-on-3 drill teaches how to read screeners.

Mike Neighbors
(Rental)-Offensive Anatomy: Our Plan to Make Them Wrong
$18.99
Mike Neighbors’ Offensive Anatomy: “Our Plan to Make ‘Em Wrong!”
University of Arkansas women’s basketball coach Mike Neighbors has one of the best offenses at any level of college basketball. His “Functionally Fast” philosophy has taken teams to the Final Four and has produced 11 WNBA draft picks.
In this video, Coach Neighbors will show you how he constructs the Razorbacks offense using a variety of drills. He also shares some insight into his priorities and terminology used.
Building the Offense
Coach Neighbors starts with the different responsibilities for each player in the transition offense. Each player has a job and that job must be executed to perfection for the offense to succeed at a high level. To help teach the fast break, Neighbors uses the “Trips” and “Five Trips” drills. These help train the primary options in the transition offense.
The best offenses generate the most shots for the best players on the team. Coach Neighbors has developed a system that helps to identify players that should be taking shots. “Green Light Series” is a method for determining shot selection and Neighbors will show you two drills from this series. “And 1 Shooting” challenges players to complete ever-increasing shooting requirements before time expires. “Beat the Pro” is used to determine whether or not a player has earned a shooting license.
Plays and Drills
Coach Neighbors makes his system easy to understand for both players and coaches. The offense uses customizable “families” so that coaches and players can use a variety of action from a number of different alignments. This helps create a vast library of plays. For example, you will learn three options to the “Twirl” series that combine ball screens with additional screening action. “Flash” is another series that can feature a number of options using player reads or calls from the bench. You will also seed a few game-winning plays that are rarely practiced because of the success of the offensive system.
You will also see two drills that can be used to develop up-tempo offenses. “Quick Strike” uses a unique scoring system and rewards teams for scoring quickly. Another drill teaches players to win three possessions in a row on both sides of the ball. This can teach your team the value of momentum.
Coach Neighbors’ video is a testament to the success of his Arkansas program and can help any coach that wants to improve their transition offense.
Nathan Davis
(Rental)-Nathan Davis' Basketball Offensive System
$18.99
Nathan Davis’ Basketball Offensive System
Bucknell University head coach Nathan Davis has had plenty of success running a high-octane offense that also allows his teams to run the clock if easy shots are not possible. Davis won four straight Patriot League regular season titles from 2016 to 2019, won two league tournaments (2017 & ’18), and has taken home two Patriot League Coach of the Year awards (’16, ’17). See exactly how he runs the floor and flows right into a motion offense with multiple actions, ball screens, and lots of scoring opportunities.
Transition to Motion
Coach Davis philosophy is to get the ball out quickly on a make or a miss and score within the first six seconds of the shot clock. If that is not possible, the Nathan Davis’ Basketball Offensive System is designed to score in the final six seconds of the shot clock.
You will see how Davis likes to run the floor and create scoring opportunities with dribble penetration, kick-outs, pitch-backs, or screens. Coach Davis also likes the low post player to stay opposite the ball to create space and, ultimately, get catches with two feet in the paint.
5-Man Motion
In the 5-Man motion offense, Coach Davis has the post players work together. One plays on the perimeter and one in the post. The first action you see is a post player exchange with one screening for the other. The action also creates an opportunity for a drive from the ball-side corner.
A second action is the post player setting a screen for a guard when the ball is passed. The guard reads the defense looking to curl for a layup, use a back cut for a layup, or pop out for an open 3-pointer. The weak-side flare screen is also a way to get the ball into the hands of a good shooter.
Ball Screens
In addition to running in transition and using the 5-man motion offense, Coach Davis is a big fan of ball screens. He teaches his screeners to sprint to the screen to achieve the element of surprise. Using actions like Triple and Jazz, Coach Davis create opportunities for two- and three-player actions. Warrior is a ball screen action that incorporates a back cut by one guard and a pass-and-follow ball screen.
Coach Davis teaches you his up-tempo offense and how to use it to create opportunities for quick scores and how to use the offense to use the clock to get open looks and dictate the pace of games. This is an outstanding look at a complete offense. Rent Nathan Davis’ Basketball Offensive System DVD today.

Open Practice with T.J. Otzelberger: Defense
One of the up-and-coming coaches in college basketball, South Dakota State mentor T.J. Otzelberger teaches his defensive system in this open practice video. Coach Otzelberger’s defense is all about forcing opponents into less than desirable shots and then tenacious rebounding in an effort to get the ball into transition quickly. One look at this video and you will understand why Otzelberger’s teams are consistently ranked in the nation’s top 10 in defensive rebounding.
Stance, Slides, and Closeouts
Coach Otzelberger preaches the basics: stance, slide, and closing out. You will see the low, wide, and active stance that Otzelberger teaches his players. Active hands allow players to take away passing lanes and deflect passes. High hands on a closeout force opponents to take tough shots. Understanding the basics can help any defensive style disrupt any offensive action.
Ball Screen Defense
As more teams move to a ball screen offense, successful teams are those that have lock-down ball screen defenses. You must have different ways to defend the ball screen and ways to take away an effective ball handler. Coach Otzelberger will show you his side ball screen defense where he teaches players to have a wide, open stance with the chest up to take on the driver coming off of a ball screen.
Alley Drill
Coach Otzelberger demonstrates the Alley Drill which is one that will push your players to their limits. It’s a competitive drill in which each team sends athletes through the “alley.” Defenders have to work to keep their opponent in front of them in the lane line alley. The idea is to use good angles to cut off offensive players forcing them to turn.
The three-hour-plus video gives you an inside look at the entire defensive philosophy of one of college basketball’s brightest young minds. Coach Otzelberger takes you through his defense from the ground up showing you how to constantly pressure the ball. This is a great video for coaches looking to add to their defensive arsenal.

The 2018 NCAA women’s national champions won the title for a number of reasons, but one big one was defense. In this video, Notre Dame women’s head coach Muffet McGraw shares with you her defensive philosophy as well as some of the secrets from her defensive playbook that helped the Fighting Irish capture last year’s national championship.
McGraw was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011 and is a three-time winner of the Naismith College Coach of the Year award. Her Notre Dame teams continually go deep in the women’s national tournament year after year and much of the Fighting Irish’s success can be attributed to McGraw’s defense.
2-3 Zone Defense Philosophy
McGraw prefers the ability to play both man and zone defense. Her system at Notre Dame incorporates the use of both. She prefers the 2-3 zone defense to any other and shares her reasons why in the video. Using whiteboard diagrams and some breakdown drills, McGraw details the responsibilities for each player in the 2-3 zone. You will also see how players are supposed to rotate in a number of different situations.
McGraw takes you through six defensive drills that work on various scenarios that arise in games. One drill covers bumping to prevent a quick shot from the wing. Another works on preventing lob passes and covering skip passes on the weak side. Coach McGraw also shows you two methods for defending the high post on an entry pass as well as ways to trap the low post and short corner.
2-3 Zone Defense Practice Drills
McGraw has four essential drills that are part of her daily practices. Each drill can be modified with progressive variations throughout the season. These drills help players focus on the ability to close out on the ball to prevent dribble penetration to the middle of the floor.

Craig Doty: Offensive Success vs a Switching Man-to-Man Defense
Teams playing against an unfamiliar defense often run into trouble. For coaches who go up against a switching man-to-man, this change-up can cause some serious headaches. Craig Doty, head coach at 2018 NAIA Division I national champion Graceland University (IA), shows you how you can gain an advantage against this type of switching man-to-man defense.
Doty, the 2018 NAIA Division National Coach of the Year, also won two NJCAA Division III championships and was a two-time National Junior College Coach of the Year. In this video, he shares with you a number of useful plays that work not only against switching man-to-man defenses, but also straight up man and zone defenses. He explains each play giving you the exact spacing and timing needed. Coach Doty also explains how to take advantage of certain mismatches as they occur and also how to use analytics to improve in practices and games.
Regular Man-to-Man vs. Switching Man-to-Man
To take advantage of man defenses that switch, Coach Doty first demonstrates a variety of plays against a straight man-to-man. Then, he shows you the same plays against a switching man-to-man. From a Horns set, “Pro 1” begins with a pass into the post and a dive to the basket by the point guard. Instead of an open jumper or a feed into the post against straight man, the switching man defense generates a seal by the post for a high-low duck-in pass.
“Pro 3” is another play run from the Horns set used to set up a help-side down screen on an entry to the elbow. Against a switching man defense, the high-low entry to the screening post player result’s in an interior mismatch that leads to easy baskets.
Utilizing Early Offense
Switching man-to-man defenses can cause problems in transition. Coach Doty uses post and wing interchanges and dribble handoffs to create mismatches and exploit the switches. “Harvard” and “Cross” are actions by wings that can lead to easy baskets.
Sets vs. 2-3 Zone
Switch principles can still apply in a 2-3 zone. You will see how down screens and flare screens are used to create open 3-point shots. “Bulldog” leads to open opportunities to the get the ball inside to a post player. “Flood” is another play designed to take advantage of the zone defense.
Using Analytics
Coach Doty takes some time to cover how his team uses analytics. The numbers can often tell you who should be on the floor and who should not. You can also use them to explain to players why they are successful or unsuccessful.
All the plays and actions shown in Coach Doty’s video are used to create opportunities for offenses to attack defenses that switch. What he reveals is a must for anyone looking to expand their playbook and handle uncommon defenses.
