The Coach Frank Haith who is 2012 AP Coach of The Year will educate you about the unique up-tempo style of play that attacks the opponents in the open court. There will be three early seasons practices that you will go through in these practices the players will work a lot on learning the up-tempo style of play. There are series of transition sets and press attack options with which the Coach Frank Haith teaches the up-tempo style of play.
Basketball Practice One

In order to perfect the up-tempo style of play, the coach Haith makes use of the full court drills and 5-on-0 situations. To beat the opponent players down the floor, the coach Frank Hatih gives huge importance to making a good pass and sprinting end to end that will eventually beat the opponent players. To build the offensive and defensive transition coach Haith also uses the 5-on-5 full court situations.

The second practice of coach Haith starts with a deep analysis and understanding of how the Missouri staff puts together their zone offense quick hitting sets as the opponent players try to take their inside presence. To make the players flow in transition the perfection of your passing game is very important and thats what the staff discusses and focuses on. The 5-on-0, 5-on-3, 3-on-0 and 5-on-5 situations are being used by coach Haith and by his staff to improve and teach the players about the spacing on the offensive end of the floor and to build their attacking transition offense as well. The players will run through the defense after they are finished with shooting and fast break drills. The players will be working on the closeouts, 1-on-1 drills, ball screens, transition defense and shell drills. The productive practice sessions will come to an end with the position shooting drills and dummy offense 5-on-0.

Now the coach will carry on the practices that will lay the foundation for their half court offensive system which will develop spacing and cutting within their half-court offense. There are five possession games with which coach Haith makes player understand everything. From the 5-on-5 half court zone offense to side and baseline out of bounds to half court man to man sets, the coach Frank Haith uses everything he can. Missouris strength and conditioning staff will make you practice the dynamic weight lifting and stretching session very early in the season. This will allow you the opportunity to learn new exercises that the players can do only by using their body weight in order to strengthen their core and increase flexibility.
