Description
In this course Greg Alexander Millar breaks down the Javelin Throw Biomechanics. He specifically compares length of pull biomechanical factors and throwing distance. Using unique overlay video technicues the viewer will get a better understanding of what to look for in the Javelin throw.1 Coach Millars Introduction 0:00

19 Javelin Throw Biomechanics - Q&A 0:00Greg Millar has been an avid Javelin thrower since his last years in highschool (UK) and has since been the Scottish National Champion for the last 10 consecutive years, multiple top 5 finishes and British Championships and a 3rd place finish in 2021 with a PB of 71.90m. Throughout university Greg found a love for biomechanics and devoted his final year dissertation to specific javelin biomechanics before moving to Loughborough University to study a MSc in Sports Biomechanics. It was at Loughborough Greg collected data from the 2017 Birmingham diamond league to conduct his MSc thesis on 3-Dimensional Javelin Biomechanics.
