Lyndsey Fennelly
(Rental)-Precision Ball Control & Passing Workout
$15.99
Basketball Passing Drills & Ball Control
Passing is a fundamental skill in basketball that players must master. Lyndsey Fennelly, an All-American point guard at Iowa State, is now a basketball trainer and coach and in this video demonstrates how she trains players to become dynamic ball handlers and efficient passers. Fennelly was a second-round pick of the Indiana Fever after leading Iowa State in assists during the 2006-07 season. She is the former course director at Point Guard College.
Coach Fennelly begins the training session with a warm up. Players progress through 10 different ball handling drills that build confidence. Fennelly has her players dribble at game speed to get them out of their comfort zone. In just 10 minutes per session, players can really build their dribbling confidence.
After the warm up, Coach Fennelly then begins to add drills that simulate game-like conditions. She adds movement and contact. Players work from the wing to attack the rim using different dribbles and finishes. Coach Fennelly teaches four different attacking moves in the Wing Attack Drill. Players develop dexterity and placement of the off arm to protect the basketball. Fennelly also teaches the Eurostep here training the technique from baseline to middle and from middle to baseline.
Basketball Passing Drills for Games
Coach Fennelly also includes drills designed to improve passing. This is often overlooked by coaches today. Fennelly’s drills are designed to promote passing confidence so that players can make difficult passes under pressure. Four types of passes are taught – hook, push, rugby, and behind the back.
Coaches looking to build better ball handlers and better passers will take much away from Coach Fennelly’s video. Most of the drills presented can be done individually, with a single partner, or with a team. No matter the skill level, the drills in this 46-minute video can help develop players that are unstoppable scoring and passing threats. Rent this basketball passing drills DVD today.

Strength and Conditioning Warm-Ups for Basketball
Strength Training and Conditioning video wtih Danny Manning. The basketball season is a long one and the best teams are able to sustain their efforts through multiple 36- (high school) or 40-minute (college) games and do so successfully. In this video, Ryan Horn, the director of sports performance at Wake Forest, pairs up with Demon Deacons head coach Danny Manning to show you how to improve players’ strength and agility all while minimizing the risk of injury.
Coach Horn uses on-court demonstration to show you a series of simple exercises that he uses to get player ready to practice, play in games, and get through an entire season. Each of the exercises is simple and doesn’t require any extra equipment. The idea behind this workout is to build explosiveness and agility in athletes. At the same time, the workout helps to reduce the risk of injury.
Strength Training and Conditioning 3 Stages
Coach Horn’s presentation is broken into three stages. Stage 1 includes preparatory drills. These are drills that help players warm up and develop fluidity in their motions. They also prepare the body for the more difficult exercises to come.
The Pogo Hop series helps enhance players’ reactive abilities. By using small hops in a variety of directions, these exercises help to strengthen the ankles, shins, and legs. The drills also prepare these areas of the body for more difficult drills later in a workout. Other preparatory drills include high knees and straight leg skips.
The second stage of strength training and conditioning drills is the Combo Agility series, which works on developing posture and range of motion. Players go about 70 to 80 percent of their full effort in these drills. Slides and back pedals simulate movements in games. These simple drills can be done quickly, but the results can have dramatic effects on players’ overall performance.
The final stage of drills is the Stop and Go series. These drills are high intensity movements that prepare athletes for games and double as injury prevention drills. Stop and Go drills teach athletes how to correctly decelerate, an important part of injury prevention.
This 68-minute video is great for athletes at any level. The exercises are very simple to teach and do not require a lot of practice time. Your team can get stronger, faster, quicker, and prevent injuries in a short amount of time following Coach Horn’s guidance. Rent this strength training and conditioning DVD for basketball today.

Marquis Hines
(Rental)-Perimeter Player Development
$15.99
Perimeter Player Development
Today’s game of basketball is much more dependent upon the perimeter game. Players love to shoot the 3-pointer as well as drive to the rim, but what is often neglected is the pick and roll defense, handling the ball with both hands, footwork, and maximizing the dribble. Marquis Hines, former three-time Wisconsin Division I state championship head girls coach at Vincent HS, discusses what it takes to be a complete, all-around perimeter player. He shows you a series of drills that focus on the skills needed to become a polished offensive threat.
The presentation begins with several drills to train the mid-range jump shot. It progresses to the fade-counter move for mid- and long-range shots. Coach Hines demonstrates drills using chairs for closer pull-up jumpers and how to get to the rim. Finally, players learn to shoot off of a down screen. Coach Hines explains the specific footwork that perimeter players must have to improve their shooting form.
Coach Hines is a big believer in training ball handling. He puts players through a series of dribbling drills that utilize chairs as stationary defenders. Hines teaches the correct form for a crossover dribble, between the legs, and around-the-back moves. He also explains the importance of the first two dribbles which helps to eliminate unnecessary dribbling, create space, and gain an advantage.
The Definitive Pick and Roll drill is a 2-on-2 situation where Coach Hines discusses how to hedge, show, and be in help mode in order to take away any advantage created by an on-ball screen. The presentation ends with individual shooting drills that work on stepping into the shot all while maintaining balance when using an off-the-ball cut.
Coach Hines’ presentation brings guard play back to its heyday while preparing perimeter players for the nuances of modern basketball offense.

(Rental)-Post Perimeter Fundamentals
$15.99
Drill progression is the key to player growth. Coach Crean demonstrates how this progression works, moving from an individual mode to the 1-0, 22-0, 3-3, and 4-0 modes. Crean emphasizes explosiveness in every drill, and all drills are intended to help each player score. This development is made possible by ball handling drills. Players use cones on the ground to practice seven drills that change speed and direction. The perimeter/post drill 2-0 works on the inside/out game. The perimeter player is given a second ball to work on flare screens, entry passes, the Houston cut, and go cuts. This drill is multi-purpose and can be used in any game situation. Post players learn to "punch in" on their weaker side, post big and finish strong. Post spacing is when the post defender is in front or behind. Two-step separation is a key skill. This involves the player separating from the defender. Perimeter players must learn to fade at each point on the screen in order to seperate from their defenders. Other important skills include the middle drive, spotting upward and two-step separation. Crean ends with the weak side series. The 4-0 progression combines all the pieces into one cohesive offensive attack.
