This offense is rooted in an offensive line that is not balanced and a shotgun snap, something your opponents will never have seen. Coach Rude explains the formations and the play calling system. He also demonstrates pre-shift formations. Brian Berry, Coach Rude, and Brian Rude, the offensive line coach, go in detail about nine formations, including seam bucks and counter treys, option and wedge series. Rude has created a list with blocking rules for each hole, allowing for endless combinations of plays. Rude demonstrates each player's responsibilities, and shows the team how to play. In his four-year tenure as Single Wing coach, Rude has seen the team average over 4,000 yards per season and have had six rushers surpassing 1,000 yards. This rush-oriented offense allows your team to keep the clock running, reduce turnovers and have fun playing a new style.

Daniel Allende
(Rental)-The Argentina Flex Offense
$15.99
Daniel Allende: Offense the Argentinian Way
If you have an undersized or less athletic team, there are ways to turn that team into a force on the offensive end. Daniel Allende, head coach of Argentina’s Club Olimpo, has done it and he shows you how to do the same in this video. The head coach of the two-time National League champion, Allende uses the Argentinian offense, which is based upon movement and quickness. Using the Flex offense, Allende has evened the playing floor when facing opponents that are bigger and more athletic.
Coach Allende begins with the basic fundamentals of basketball teaching players how to pass, when to dribble, and how to shoot in a half-court setting. Allende shows players the importance of spacing, balance, and timing which are the most important aspects of any half-court offense.
With the basics learned, Coach Allende begins to work the Flex offense starting with the basic concepts and building to the more complex actions in the Flex, ball screen offense, and high-low entries. Using 3-on-0, 4-on-0, and 5-on-0 drills, Allende shows players the basic pass and cut and replace strategies of the Flex offense. The drills help players understand the proper movements and spacing.
Coach Allende shows you how various actions flow into the Flex offense. He breaks down the actions into segments allowing players to practice their movements in each segment. This helps players to master the art of playing in the Flex offense and have a counter for every defensive action one might face.
Using 5-on-5 on-court demonstrations, Coach Allende shows you how the ball is entered into the post. He also shows you how to run the continuous Flex to wear down opponents and how to use the UCLA cut to get into the Flex. Want to get the ball to your best shooter or post player? Coach Allende covers that as well and even details how to incorporate the fast break action that leads into the Flex offense.
This 75-minute video can help put points on the board despite having a less talented or small team. Learn how to incorporate the Flex offense and score more today!
Dan Hibson
(Rental)-The Switching 2-3 Zone Defense
$15.99
The Switching 2-3 Zone Defense
Dan Hibson took over a high school girls varsity basketball team in California that had not won a league game in a decade. Coach Hibson took that team, Hillsdale HS in San Mateo, California, to back-to-back playoff appearances using a switching zone defense as the foundation of his program. In this video, Coach Hibson shares with you the principles and techniques of his proven system.
The 2-3 Switching Zone Defense combines the aggressive pressure of man-to-man defense while giving you the basket protection of a zone defense. Coach Hibson introduces the defense on the whiteboard sharing his breakdown drills. He then shares a software simulation to show the strategy of the defense and how it works and then offers on-court demonstration with players.
Chalk Talk
On the whiteboard, Coach Hibson shows you the drills, in sequence, needed to install the Switching Zone defense. He also reviews why the defense is so successful. The points of emphasis that he shares are:
Force out-of-rhythm outside shots
Double team the high post
Double team the short corner
Triple team the low post
Deny any passes from the wing or corner to the post
Stop drives from the wing or corner to the post
Guards and forwards are interchangeable and play both positions defensively
Most steals will come from corner-to-low post passes and skip passes
On the Court Drills
The problem that zone defenses face is the inability to protect both the post and the 3-point line simultaneously. Coach Hibson spent a great deal of time coming up with a simple but effective solution. He maps out the drills in sequential order that help the zone defense defend the post and the 3-point line. Each drill builds on the previous one to help players understand rotations and make decisions quickly. The drills include:
3-on-3 Closeout Drill
5-on-3 We Can Hustle Drill (W=wing, C=clog, H=high post)
5-on-5 Skip and Switch Drill
7-on-5 High Post-Low Post Drill
Coach Hibson does an outstanding job of explaining individual skills and how the defense works. Regardless of whether you are a zone or man coach, you will be able to use this defense to your advantage.
In the final segment of the video, you will see the Switching Zone defense in action against the most common offensive alignments. You will see firsthand how the defense clogs the middle of the floor and how it prevents rhythm jump shots. Yes, a zone defense can apply pressure by defending the post and the 3-point line.
