Description

The basic purpose of this video is to teach players the art of separation, when is the right time to separate from the defenders and where on the court should separation occur. All these important tricks are learned with the help of game-like drills.

Micah Lancester has devised a great strategy that teaches players the art of separation and how to separate from the defenders in any given situation and at any given time. This workout also enables them to handle any kind of defender they might face. According to coach Lancaster, there are eight different ways with which a player can improve his performance by creating separation with the Basketball. Coach Lancaster uses the on court separation for the illustration of this method.

For each area of the separation coach Lancaster has shown three detailed drills. Those three drills include the boxing gloves, medicine balls and weighted basketballs. So, how do players perform these drills? Well, the players learn how to keep basketball in their hands while attacking the rim for a layup or creating an open jump shot. Furthermore, he also teaches players how can they perform these tricks on their own and he does that by showing them the drill and providing different ways to break it into the smaller parts.

If you are an advanced beginner then there are some more exciting drills for you. Coach Lancaster is an expert at talking old school drills and then turning them into more efficient and exciting drills that will make them even better. His drills and workouts can transform any player into an elite player like the Pistol Pete Maravich’s old school ball handling drill that is an ideal way to make the players step up their game. These drills will also help players use their hand off effectively and add more energy to their workouts.
