On offense, attack the rim and denial the post with strong footwork in all areas of the post.
Tony Bergeron is the Program Director of Five-Star Basketball Camps. He will share a variety of skills and drills that will help you become a dominant post player.
It all begins with strong body movements, footwork and post movement.
A complete player in the post game must be able to score in the post. You can't play offense if you don't score low. Bergeron offers a range of moves that will help your players defeat the defender to get the ball in the hoops. Jump hook, turnaround jump shot jump, up and down, drop step and what to do in case of mismatch are some examples. These moves will increase your chances of scoring in the low post, perimeter, and top of the key.
The opposing player cannot score in the post if they are unable to get the ball in the goal post. Bergeron focuses on three types of post defense: bumping, punch-kick and fronting. Bergeron combines all three methods of post defense: bump, fronting and punch-kick.
Five-Star Basketball is home to more basketball players than any other organization. Five-Star Camps have been a boon to many basketball legends, including Patrick Ewing, Moses Malone, and Elton Brand.
Today, turn your post players into offensive or defensive threats!
