He puts emphasis on the timing, screening angles, and the execution of the pop or the roll by the post player setting the screen. For guards, Coach Kruger stresses the importance of proper screening angles and understanding the strengths of your players. For those who are better drivers, the screens are set inside the 3-point line. For shooters, screens are set outside the 3-point arc. Better inside players are taught to roll to the basket and look for the ball. Offense Against Zone Defenses Coach Kruger also shows you how to break the 2-3 zone using a 1-3-1 look. He reviews dribble penetration of the gaps, misdirection, and ball fakes and demonstrates each on the court. Coach Kruger discusses the angled ball screen, which helps to distort the 2-3 zone by moving defenders out of position.
