Triphasic Training Throwers Manual
$28.95
The Triphasic Throws Manual is meant to include training methods specifically designed to enhance the development of the physical qualities of the track and field throwing athlete to the highest extent. This manual has been created to take every coach step-by-step through a yearly macrocycle of training with the intent to improve strength, power, and speed, as well the bodys energy systems, in order to take performance to the highest possible level. The goal of this manual is to present the Triphasic Training concepts in a manner so that the high school track coach, one that has little understanding of human physiology or strength-and-conditioning, can successfully employ these training principles to the highest degree. The concepts utilized in the Triphasic Throws Training model will be thoroughly explained, and all aspects of performance will be covered in great detail. The utilization of the concepts explained in this manual will lead to dramatic increases in strength, power, and speed that will transfer to massive improvements in sporting results.
The program provided in this manual represents one to be completed by an elite level throwing athlete. However, the training methods explained in this manual may look advanced, they can be easily adapted to fit the needs of any level of thrower. Beginner, to intermediate, and elite. If you wish to discuss programming possibilities for younger athletes, please contact triphasicthrows@gmail.com. The training system demonstrated in this manual is the product of years attempted to create an all-encompassing, methodical approach to physical training for the sport of throwing.1 0.0 Preface

Learn from top Track & Field coachMohamad Saatara from University of Michigan as he shows you exactly what you need to know to have a successful season coaching your throwers. 2 Factors for Training 8:56
3 Hierarchy & Dimensions of Training 13:21
4 Periodization & Training Design 7:01
5 Exercise Examples 10:23Mohamad Saatara is in his third season (2011-13) as an assistant coach for the University of Michigan men[apos]s track and field team, where he oversees all field events, specializing in the throwing events.
Overall, he has helped produce 10 NCAA East Region qualifiers and six NCAA Championship participants. In Saatara[apos]s three seasons, Michigan[apos]s field event athletes recorded 20 marks which rank in the top 10 of U-M[apos]s all-time performance list in various events.
Most notably, under Saatara[apos]s direction, five new school records were set during the 2013 season. Junior/sophomore Cody Riffle set new standards in the indoor (19.25 meters, 63-2) and outdoor (18.8 meters, 61-3.5) shot put. Senior/junior Ethan Dennis set a new weight throw record (21.20 meters, 69-6.75) and improved upon his own hammer throw record (64.98 meters, 213-2), which he set in 2012. At the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, Saatara helped decathlete Kurt Reichenbach finish third with a school-record setting total of 7,412 points, and become the first decathlete to advance to the NCAA Championships since 2010.
During the 2013 indoor season, Dennis and Riffle each earned All-America second team accolades. At the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Riffle earned his second All-America second team citation, while Dennis and Reichenbach each secured honorable mention recognition.
In 2012, Saatara helped guide Dennis to All-America second team honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the weight throw and All-Big Ten second team recognition in the hammer throw at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. Dennis improved his hammer throw mark by more than 14 inches from his redshirt-freshman season, to earn the team[apos]s Most Improved Athlete award.
During his first season in Ann Arbor (2011), Saatara molded several freshmen into impact performers in the field. Dennis (35-lb. weight throw) and Riffle (shot put) both etched their names into the U-M record books in their first competitive seasons as freshmen, as did high jumper Bradley James and Reichenbach. Riffle, James, and Dennis each qualified for the 2011 NCAA East Region Preliminary Rounds, along with pole vaulters Jack Greenlee and Austin DeWildt. A tenacious recruiter, Saatara also signed the nation[apos]s top prep hammer thrower in Brad Bolton (El Toro, Calif.) and two-time MHSAA state champion Derek Sievers (Byron Center, Mich.) during his first season.
Saatara (pronounced sah-TAR-uh) spent the previous eight seasons at Northern Arizona University. During that span, he helped guide the Lumberjacks to 12 Big Sky Conference men[apos]s and women[apos]s team championships. He has coached more than 20 Big Sky individual champions and guided more than 30 student-athletes to the NCAA Regional Championships. In 2009, Saatara coached four Big Sky champions -- Shelby McCray (women[apos]s discus), Javier Villarreal (men[apos]s shot put), Curtis Durocher (men[apos]s hammer) and Andres Rossini (men[apos]s discus).
In the summer of 2008, three of Saatara[apos]s athletes competed at the Olympic Games in Beijing. Amin Nikfar, a volunteer assistant at Northern Arizona who trained under Saatara for two years, set the Iranian national outdoor record and qualified for the shot put. Former student-athlete Georgina Toth qualified in the hammer throw, and Zara Northover (Jamaica) made it to Beijing to compete in the shot put.
Some of his additional prominent athletes include Jeremy Hoff, a former walk-on who represented Northern Arizona at two consecutive NCAA Outdoor National Championships in 2003 and 2004; Karim Chester, an All-American in the weight throw; and Dana Posey, who currently holds the UNA school record for the hammer throw. At the NCAA Division II level, Saatara guided Nicole Duncan to national titles in the 100m, 200m and long jump.
An avid clinician, he has coached at the Ironwood throws camp in Spokane, Wash., and in 2009, he was also invited to the USATF Podium clinic in Las Vegas. He has presented at the 2008 USATF Super Clinic, held in conjunction with the USATF Olympic Trials, the Arizona Track Coaches Association, and the National Throws Coaches Association. He also organized the NAU Track and Field Coaching Seminars.
Saatara came to NAU after a stint at his alma mater, Cal State Los Angeles, where he served as the interim head coach for the program. He is a former All-American at CSULA, setting the Iranian national record in the weight throw in 1997 with a toss of 20.06 meters (65 feet, 9 inches). He finished second in the hammer throw at the 1995 Division II national championships. Saatara is a USA Track and Field Level II certified coach.

How to Become an Olympic Champion - Olympic Lifting for Throwers
$129.00
"How to Become an Olympic Champion" is a video series by international coach Vsteinn Hafsteinsson on example of Discus Throw legend Gerd Kanter. The first video series puts focus on "Olympic Lifting for Throwers".
Who benefits from it?Ideal for throwing coaches and athletes at all competitive levels.
What do we learn from this course?:Never before seen footage and presentations, accumulated over 10 years of working with Gerd Kanter, and developing him from Junior Talent to Olympic Champion and 3rd furthest Thrower of all time. Level of consistency never known before even up to his retirement with every major championships final 2005-2018!The wide range of usage and importance of Olympic Weightlifting exercises. Basic technical aspects, detailed planning of the training for the season, motivational stories from the best and much more.
Olympic Weightlifting exercises Snatch as well as Clean & Jerk are used in variety of sports. These exercises are mostly used to increase power and speed that are important factors in most sports. These exercises can be called multi joint complex exercises as when you do them you use the whole chain of the body from floor and up through multiple joints. It is usually suggested as the easiest way to build up power and speed as these exercises are done with maximum speed no matter how much weight is on the bar.
The competitive act of Olympic Weightlifting are Clean & Jerk and the Snatch. But these exercises can be so much more as: Sit Clean and Snatch and even Jerk, Power Clean and Snatch, Jerk in front or back, Split Clean, Snatch and Jerk, Kick Jerk, Hang Clean and Snatch, Snatch Pull, Clean Pull, and pull from boxes as well as elevation of feet with pulls from the floor etc.
The wide range of usage and importance is outstanding with these exercises and are more or less important in every sport. Sets, repetitions and rest vary in relation to sport being practiced but these exercises are used mostly for power and speed and then the intensity is measured in the weight on the bar as well as speed the exercise is performed. Only fast twitch fibers are used in performing these exercises and that means that sets and reps should be few and rest long. Then of course there are different training methods for different training periods in relation to sport but never forget that these exercises are used for building general horse power.

Learn to increase speed and cut time without losing stamina with these simple tricks.1 Muscle & Fitness Sprinting Feature - Rob Riches 2:02
2 Juggernaut Training Systems-Block Start Tutorial 7:51
3 Juggernaut Training Systems - A & B Skip Progressions 8:15The purpose of AOS is to create faster, more coordinated athletes. Speed is the determining factor in being successful in any sport. Moreover, regardless of skill level, if an athlete is FAST, they are more likely to be noticed and given an opportunity. Just as a college degree provides individuals with an advantage when it comes to employment, being fast can give an athlete an edge and help themget their foot in the door in sport. It is no longer sufficient for an athlete to be able to throw, catch, hit the ball, etc. When coaches are assessing athletes, some coaches key questions are: Can they out-run their pursuers? Can they run down their opponents? Can they steal base without being thrown out? To put it simply, coaches ask, Are they fast?
