(Rental)-Inside The Pack Line Defense
$19.99
Inside the Pack Line Defense
Kevin McGuff has had tremendous success over his coaching career leading turnarounds at both the University of Washington and the Ohio State University. Now the women’s basketball coach for the Buckeyes, McGuff has used the Pack Line defense to help him build program identities and winning basketball programs. He has taken his teams to 12 postseason tournaments in 14 seasons and has a career winning percentage of .700.
Philosophy of the Pack Line Defense
Coach McGuff begins his presentation by diving into his defensive philosophy. It’s all about what you emphasize with your players and for McGuff, it’s the Pack Line Defense. He outlines the goals of the defense, why it’s so popular and gives you the terminology used so you can teach it better.
Coach McGuff discusses key elements such as defending the post, defending different types of screens, weakside exchanges, defending the baseline drive, and gap integrity. He also uses a 4-on-4 shell drill to demonstrate the movements and responsibilities of each player in the defense.
Transition Defense
Coach McGuff teaches you how to merge your philosophy of rebounding with your transition defense. Using a 5-on-0 transition drill, Coach McGuff explains the roles and responsibilities of each player. The result is getting players ahead of the ball to build a wall of defenders thus initiating the Pack Line defense.
Individual Drills
Coach McGuff provides five drills that emphasize key individual elements of the Pack Line defense. The drills break down these elements into actions that the players can develop. Aspects of the drills involve:
Closeouts
On-ball pressure
Forming the Pack Line and Building the Wall
Moving on the flight of the ball
Rebounding and toughness
Team Defense
You will see three progressions of the Shell Drill that Coach McGuff uses to get his players to coordinate with each other when playing team defense. You will learn how to stunt early to stop drives, recover to gaps with the ball in the air, and prevent face cuts. Also included is defending the post and denying post feeds. The Change Drill teaches players to communicate as they rotate to find matchups on defense.
Defending Screens
Coach McGuff teaches a number system for communicating how to defend any screen. Players have the ability to counter any offensive strategy and you will see demonstrations of how to defend all types of screens including ball screens.
Rebounding
With the mindset that a possession is never over until the ball is secured, Coach McGuff shows you two variations of his favorite rebounding drill. High-Low Rebounding will develop multiple skills including shooting, rebounding, and toughness.
If you are looking to install the Pack Line defense, Coach McGuff’s presentation is comprehensive and gives you everything you need to get started. Rent this Pack Line Defense DVD today.

Learn America's favorite offense! The Dribble Drive Motion Offense has taken the country by storm with its success at all levels. Learn the key concepts and essential terminology associated with this high paced, attacking offense - including the breakdown drills for each part of the offense that will allow your players to quickly learn the offense and get valuable skill development in, as well.
Indiana University Southeast has enjoyed much success since installing the dribble drive motion offense. The have become one of the top scoring teams in the country at the NAIA level. In the 2011-12 season they averaged 49.5% field goal percentage in the dribble drive motion offense. See how the coaching staff breaks down the system and how they teach their players to play within the offense.
Assistant coaches Andrew Grantz and Trae Cunningham take turns breaking down the offense and teaching the essentials so that any coach can easily install this player friendly attack. They demonstrate how to properly use NBA spacing to take full advantage of their "attack hard to the rim" mentality. The coaches break down the zones where the attacks begin and discuss how the players work into these areas and then quickly pass out of these areas.
Watch as the coaches diagram how to implement their dribble drive offense into your practice session. They demonstrate how to start out teaching your players the basic elements of the kick up/kick back movements of the offense. They use several build up drills to teach their players how the action and drives are supposed to look. By moving their players to different spots on the floor, they are able to demonstrate the kick out.
By the time you are at your fifth or sixth day, you have added all five offensive players into the mix and demonstrated how they are to move depending on where the drive comes from. With each day, they progress their offense a little more. This action is fantastic for high school coaches that are limited in the amount of time to implement an offensive system.
The coaches also run through a number of breakdown drills that emphasize their attack, attack, attack mentality on offense. Break out your guards and post players to maximize the time needed to teach the basic skills a player needs to thrive within the dribble drive motion offense.
Their warm-up drills are great for players to get loose, get a lot of shots up, and understand how the drives are supposed to develop. Their post player drill is great for any post that wants to dominate at his position by keeping the ball high and relocating once a guard drives to the rim. All of these drills simulate game action and truly make a good use of your practice time.
This comprehensive DVD includes quick game clips that demonstrate how each piece works and will truly make a believer out of any skeptic.
Bring this aggressive and fun attacking offense to your gym and see the amazing results both on the court and with your players. This is really a player friendly offense that constantly keeps your opponents on their heels.

Mike Nienaber
(Rental)-Installing The Princeton Offense
$19.99
Installing the Princeton Offense
Known as one of the top Princeton offense coaches in the nation, Delta State’s Mike Neinaber teaches you the ins and outs of the offense in this video. Neinaber spent 20 seasons at Christian Brothers University in Memphis where he won two Gulf South Conference titles, made five trips to the NCAA Division II tournament, and took his 2009 team to the Elite Eight. One of the biggest reasons for his teams’ successes has been the Princeton offense.
The presentation begins with a demonstration of the warmup that prepares players for every scoring angle and option within the offense. The warmup includes full speed, game-like layups that simulate the backdoor cuts within the Princeton offense.
Coach Neinaber explains the Four-Minute Drill which prepares players for the array of 3-point shots that the Princeton offense offers. Next are the Five-Up drills which put players through the essential moves used within the Princeton offense: backdoor cuts, dribble handoffs, and back screens. In each drill, players learn to read defenders and create scoring opportunities out of a back cut, post move, or screening action.
Once players have mastered every option, Coach Neinaber moves into a 5-on-5 four-minute drill to show you how the offense will look. Players run through the offense in a full-court setting and Neinaber explains each move, screen, and set as it happens on the floor so you know what it should look like in a game situation.
With an understanding of how the offense looks in a 5-on-5 setting, Coach Neinaber uses 5-on-0 demonstrations to show you each teaching progression. He goes through five different looks in the offense – Low, Five Up, Elbow, High, and Chin. Each look has at least three different scoring options and can easily flow into another set.
Coach Neinaber explains each set and motion then runs through the motion with the team on the floor. He slows the pace enough so you can understand where the scoring options should occur and how to teach them to your players.
This presentation is outstanding. Coach Neinaber takes a complex offensive system and breaks it down into steps that are easy to understand and install. Coaches looking for an offensive system that keeps defenses guessing can turn to Coach Neinaber for the Princeton offense.
