These exercises are mostly used to increase power and speed that are important factors in most sports. These exercises can be called multi joint complex exercises as when you do them you use the whole chain of the body from floor and up through multiple joints. It is usually suggested as the easiest way to build up power and speed as these exercises are done with maximum speed no matter how much weight is on the bar. The competitive act of Olympic Weightlifting are Clean & Jerk and the Snatch. But these exercises can be so much more as: Sit Clean and Snatch and even Jerk, Power Clean and Snatch, Jerk in front or back, Split Clean, Snatch and Jerk, Kick Jerk, Hang Clean and Snatch, Snatch Pull, Clean Pull, and pull from boxes as well as elevation of feet with pulls from the floor etc. The wide range of usage and importance is outstanding with these exercises and are more or less important in every sport. Sets, repetitions and rest vary in relation to sport being practiced but these exercises are used mostly for power and speed and then the intensity is measured in the weight on the bar as well as speed the exercise is performed. Only fast twitch fibers are used in performing these exercises and that means that sets and reps should be few and rest long. Then of course there are different training methods for different training periods in relation to sport but never forget that these exercises are used for building general horse power. 3,5 hours of exclusive video material38 lessons with a lot of examples and theoretical materialsstep-by-step visual overview of the fundamentals and techniques Book "Olympic Lifting for Throwers" now and learn from the best!1 Introduction to this course Free 3:00 2 Introduction to Strength Training 3:08 3 Olympic Weight Lifting 2:49 4 Theoretical Basics 3:38 5 How to Plan - Snatch, Clean, Clean & Jerk, Jerk 15:50 6 Introduction to Technical Aspects 1:30 7 The Snatch 2:35 8 Snatch Pull 1:32 9 Clean 2:12 10 Clean Pull 2:08 11 Jerk 3:07 12 Push Press 2:25 13 Organization of Planning and Periodization 11:47 14 General Preparation Period 3:18 15 Hypertrophy Period 6:56 16 Strength Period 13:46 17 Power, Speed Period 15:01 18 Competition Period 8:21 19 Overview of Planning and Periodization 9:23 20 Elite individual sports 6:54 21 Elite team sports 5:40 22 Regular physical activity 7:10 23 Paralympic Sports 6:17 24 Veteran sports and activity 5:04 25 How did Gerd Kanter power clean 180kg? 4:39 26 How did Mrt Israel snatch 135kg? 4:58 27 Example of Joachim B.
