He also serves as the goalie coach for The Boys' Latin School of Maryland, and was the head lacrosse coach at Pikesville High School (Md.) for eight seasons. Tano has received many coaching awards, including Coach of the Year honors from US Lacrosse, the Maryland State Lacrosse Coaches Association, Baltimore Sun All-Metro and Baltimore Sun All-City/County.
