When we talk about dribble penetration and how to go by your defender and score, it is the little things that make a difference if you are going to score or if you are getting stopped. If want to analyze the inside-out crossover, there are some components that we must know before we want to teach our player how and when to use it.

The preparation for this dribble move starts with the ball handler coming at the defender straight ahead at full speed, stopping in front of him, and doing a little skip move as a preparation for the crossover.

The main move is made out of the next components. Fake look in the direction that you DO NOT WANT TO GO that is followed with the Fake step.

Your player needs to bring the ball halfway of his mid-body symmetry, to make sure the defender will believe he is crossing over.
